The UK’s equalities watchdog has warned that Long Covid may not always be protected as a disability under the Equality Act. Here's what our HR Consultant, Naomi Ward has to comment:

"The UK equalities watchdog has warned that long Covid may not always be counted as a disability which has not been met well by Long Covid Support, classifying such a take as contradictory.

Long Covid symptoms can be different for each person affected which means the way that an employee may need support at work is not set in stone. It is important to be mindful of the fact that symptoms can vary and employees experiencing a daily impact should be supported at work where needed."
