Are you involved in a business dispute and concerned that your opponent is moving assets to avoid paying what is due to you? Our latest blog explains when to apply for a freezing injunction and what is required.

It can be a very valuable tool if you have a good case against a respondent and you have genuine concerns that assets will disappear before you can enforce any order granted. However, a freezing order is also very draconian and, if not applied for and used carefully, can cause serious damage to your...

From 1 January 2027, the risks for the employer will increase in regard to claims for constructive unfair dismissal. Changes brought in by the Employment Rights Act 2025 will widen the scope of employees who can bring a claim for unfair dismissal and will also remove the current cap on the amount of compensation that an employee can recover in an employment tribunal.

In all matters concerning children, the children’s welfare is paramount. Sometimes, the tensions and unhappiness of a broken relationship will be focused on arguments over the children. A Retirement Celebration for Suzanne Oldnall (BEM)🎉

Friends, family, colleagues past and present, members of the Judiciary, West Mercia Women's Aid and other professional bodies celebrated with Suzanne who was retiring from Parkinson Wright after 29 years continuous service. During that time she has been recognised as an exceptional and passionate advocate, providing emotional and legal support for victims of domestic abuse.

In 2013 Suzanne helped create a drop in centre for vulnerable women and men who have suffered from domestic abuse. This service continues to be available at Parkinson Wright following her well deserved retirement.

We thank Suzanne for all her good works during the last 29 years and wish her every happiness in her retirement.
