In general, it's advisable not to occupy a completed refurbishment without obtaining the necessary building regulation certificate or compliance certification. Compliance certification is a crucial step in ensuring that the refurbishment work meets the required building standards and regulations.
• Has the works been completed satisfactory.
• Are all the fire integrity in place.
• Will your insurance cover if there is a claim.
• Mortgage lender will not approve. You could be open to legal fines.
