I walked into my local post office this morning and the lovely lady behind the counter asked me if I'd heard what they'd said on the radio news the other day about Wills.(The fact that families don't talk about what they want to happen to their property and finances on their death and that still over a 1/3rd of adults still don't have a Will)? she said "because I did and I thought of you"! ☺️ ...it made me smile ...I don't mind being known as " the Will lady"! ...makes a change from "the lady with the really short hair"! 😂

Don't be 1 of those 1/3rd of adults!! Have discussions and get your wishes in writing!

An interesting afternoon...I attended a Dementia Roadshow held at The Chase Care Home in Huntingdon.

I decided to attend this event for both professional and personal reasons and from taking part in a Dementia Simulation Exercise which was a bit scary, I do think it has given me a slightly better understanding into this very horrible life changing condition.

I met some amazing professionals who work in Adult Social Care within the community who try their best to support families living with dementia as well as lovely spouses who are caring for their loved ones who explained the struggles they have on a daily basis.

I came away thinking ...I will definitely try to "enlarge my bucket" to cope with my "risks" that go into that bucket daily and hope that during the vital 1.45hrs a day (while sleeping really) my brain continues to get rid of all the bad proteins which build up, which will "empty my bucket" ready to start again the next day which hopefully will reduce my risk of developing dementia!! 🫣😁

Yep! Told you it was interesting 😁

And now on my soapbox...make sure you have your LPAs in place ...and hope, like me, that you never need them!! 👍
