This year one of our Partners, Simon Nethercott, will be taking part in the Front Line Walk which will take place for 3 days from the ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐๐ซ.
Itโs a gruelling walk, about 23 miles each day, that takes place in the Battlefields of the Somme, Arras/Vimy Ridge, and Passchendaele/Ypres, to pay tribute to those who fought in WW1 over 100 years ago. Simonโs late grandfather, who was awarded the Military Cross, fought on the Somme as did one of his wifeโs ancestors who was the most highly decorated soldier of WW1, Captain Noel Chavasse, being awarded the Victoria Cross twice (see photo).
Simon has completed this event twice previously describing it as โhard but rewardingโ and to date has raised ยฃ5,000 for ABF The Soldiersโ Charity. As he feels so passionately about such a worthy cause, Simon funds all his own travel and accommodation expenses, so any money raised goes directly to the charity.

A Transfer of Equity literally means just that- you are transferring some of the equity in the property from two names to one name, vice versa, or adding a new person to the title deeds. This is often done as part of a matrimonial settlement.
When there is a mortgage involved, the mortgage company will also have to consent to the Transfer of Equity. Surprisingly there can be sometimes Stamp Duty payable on a Transfer of Equity and we can advise you of this at the outset of the transaction. However, if the Transfer is made pursuant to a Consent Order as part of the divorce/separation proceedings, then there is usually no Stamp Duty payable.
