Kicking off the festive season in style this weekend with the Wilmslow Festive 10k!

Huge congratulations to Craig Johnson and Gabriella Jackson for some seriously fast times yesterday. The atmosphere was unbeatable from start to finish, and even the rain couldn’t wipe the smiles from everyone’s faces!
A big thank you to for organising a fantastic event, and to all the volunteers, supporters, and spectators who braved the cold and wet conditions to make it such a memorable experience.

We set out to bring fun, festive spirit, and a touch of magic to Wilmslow and we certainly did. Even better, we raised funds for a truly worthy cause: Prostate Cancer UK, which Craig has been championing throughout his running missions this year.

We’re delighted to share that Craig Johnson has been promoted to Associate Solicitor at Venus Legal.

Craig joined us last year and has been instrumental from day one, quickly becoming a highly valued member of the team and playing a key role in our success throughout this year.

The specialist team at Venus Legal are committed to supporting our clients who are sadly still waiting for urgent action.

“Women harmed by pelvic mesh implants are still waiting for government compensation a year after a major report, external called for urgent action”.

Patient safety commissioner Dr Henrietta Hughes, who made that recommendation, called it "an injustice" for the thousands of lives destroyed.

A year after a major report called for urgent action, no scheme has been put in place to help victims.

World Cancer Day 2025, introduces the theme “United by Unique,” a people-centered approach to cancer care. This theme highlights the importance of recognizing each individual’s unique experience with cancer and placing their personal stories at the forefront of the conversation.

The “United by Unique” campaign is set to span from 2025 to 2027, offering a three-year journey from raising awareness to taking action. It encourages a shift towards healthcare systems that prioritize individuals, families, and communities, ensuring that care is tailored to the specific needs of each person affected by cancer.

World Mental Health Day (10 Oct) is a day to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters.

This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.

We prioritise and protect our mental health and wellbeing at Venus Legal by focussing on simple daily activities that help us to feel positive and able to cope better with life:

Team building contributes to building a high-performing team, through collaboration, building stronger connections, fostering trust and achieving our goals together. It’s also great fun!

Yesterday, the Venus Legal Team reached the top of Mount Snowdon, starting at Pen Y Pass, we climbed the Pyg Track (a rocky and difficult path with several steep climbs).

It was challenging and extremely difficult at times, we supported one another with words of encouragement and shared snacks. We bonded, communicated and achieved something wonderful together!

We reflected on the day, our goals and future plans for the business whilst walking down The Llanberis Path on the long journey home.

Today we return to the office with increased motivation levels, enhanced creativity and confidence, deeper communication and collaboration skills.

As a business leader, I am committed to sustaining trust, experience, and performance. I am immensely proud of the Venus Legal Team, who will always be stronger together.
