On April 1st, the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates increased across the UK 🎉

Every employee and worker is automatically entitled to this pay increase! However, the increased rate may not apply immediately — it starts from your next pay reference period.

What's a pay reference period? It's the period of time your pay covers. So if you're paid weekly, it's a week, or if you're paid monthly, it's a month. But it can't be longer than 1 month!

So make sure you're being paid correctly this April! You can also use the National Minimum Wage calculator on GOV.UK to check you're being paid what you deserve

For more information about the National Minimum Wage and Living Wage increases, read our full blog post here 👉 https://dsmlegal.co.uk/preventing-sexual-harassment-in-the-workplace-what-the-new-legal-duty-means-for-uk-employers/
