As recently announced by the Home Office, the minimum income requirement to sponsor a Spouse/Partner visa application will be increasing from the current threshold of £18,600 per annum to £29,000 per annum from 11th April 2024.

The increase of the minimum income requirement to £29,000 per annum from 11th April 2024 will be the first in a series of three proposed incremental increases which will see the minimum income requirement to sponsor a Spouse/Partner visa application eventually increase to £38,700 by early 2025.

The proposed increases to the minimum income requirement to sponsor a Spouse/Partner visa application have inevitably and understandably become a cause of great concern and stress to many couples who intend to submit applications for Spouse/Partner visas in the near future.

🔍 Here's how it works: Unscrupulous scammers are preying on the dreams of hopeful job seekers by promising lucrative work opportunities in the UK in exchange for hefty sums of money.

In some case they claim to provide work permit visas and sponsorships, only to vanish into thin air once the payment is made.

In other cases, whilst sponsorship is issued and the worker is indeed able to travel to the UK, upon arrival they sadly discover that there is no genuine vacancy or employment awaiting them here. Often the companies who have sponsored the workers have very little to no genuine trading activity actually occurring within their business.

😡 The sad reality? When victims arrive in the UK, they find out the harsh truth – the promised work sponsorships never existed, leaving them not only devastated but also out of pocket by thousands of pounds.

🛑 It's crucial to be vigilant and cautious when pursuing job opportunities abroad. Here are some tips to avoid falling prey to such scams:
