We are seeking a highly organised and professional Secretary to provide essential administrative support to our Head of Conveyancing Department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth office operations, managing correspondence, and assisting with various clerical tasks. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and experience in office administration to contribute to a dynamic team. Salary dependant on experience.
Conveyancing experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
• Perform audio typing of legal proceedings, correspondence, and reports
• Preparing correspondence and documents
• Attending to clients in person and by telephone
• Managing filing systems, including daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files
• Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch
• Scanning and photocopying documents
• Ensuring all post-completion processes are finalised
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently
• Carrying out any other duties as required
Requirements
• Proven administrative experience, ideally within a legal setting
• Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
• Proficiency in audio typing at high speed with accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good IT skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment
• Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential qualities for this role

Receptionist Required

We are looking for someone to join our team as a receptionist on a part-time or full-time basis. The successful candidate will be highly organised, efficient, and able to work in a busy law firm environment.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with members of the public, as this will be a key part of the role. You will also need to be IT proficient, including using Microsoft Office and managing emails.

Main duties will include:

• Answering telephone calls, dealing with initial enquiries, directing calls to the appropriate fee earner, and taking messages
• Monitoring emails and responding to queries received via email and the firm’s website
• Greeting and assisting clients at reception, including receiving paperwork
• Opening new client files

The successful candidate will work on a part-time or full-time basis (hours to be discussed). Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

FREE Early Childhood Cwtch Events.

We’re delighted to be running three FREE Early Childhood Cwtch events across Swansea this February, made possible with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, Amazon.co.uk & Veeqo

These events are for families with children aged 0–4 years and expecting parents. Each session is fun, relaxed and welcoming, and every child will receive a FREE Child Cwtch Kit, including story books, a sensory fibre-optic lamp and a cuddle blanket. There’ll also be play, storytelling, early years information and healthy refreshments.
