It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate 30 years of supporting people to have their voices heard, understand their rights and be involved in decisions that affect their lives.

An inspiring evening with Lady Hale ⚖️

Last night, colleagues from Ben H***e Bell attended ‘With the Law on Our Side’, hosted at Trinity Chambers in Newcastle.

It was a privilege to hear from Baroness Hale, whose remarkable legal career has included a number of historic firsts, culminating in her becoming the first woman to serve as President of the Supreme Court.

Alice Bradley, Emily Cresswell, Sarah Purkis, Lilly Ord and Victoria Francis attended on behalf of the firm and had the fantastic opportunity to meet and speak with Baroness Hale herself.

A truly inspiring evening celebrating remarkable legal careers and hearing first-hand about the experiences, challenges and determination that have helped shape them.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising such a memorable event.

Today, we say a very fond farewell to Cris McCurley, who is retiring from Ben H***e Bell.

Cris has been a hugely valued member of our team, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and dedication to her work, as well as a genuine commitment to the people she has supported throughout her career.

Her contribution to Ben H***e Bell and to the clients and communities she has worked with has been significant, and she will be greatly missed by colleagues across the firm.

We would like to thank Cris for everything she has brought to Ben H***e Bell and wish her a very happy and well-deserved retirement.

A very warm welcome to our newest team members and congratulations to some familiar faces!

We’re delighted to welcome Erin Graham, Violet Stokoe and Lucy Stout, who have all joined the firm today.

Erin and Violet join us as our first-ever Solicitor Apprentices, marking an exciting milestone for the firm.

📍 Erin will be based with our Mental Health & Court of Protection team in Byker, while Violet joins our Personal Injury & Actions Against Public Authorities team in Sunderland.

⚖️ Lucy joins us as a Trainee Solicitor and will be based with our Family team in Gateshead.

We’re also delighted to congratulate Chloë Peeters and Emily Gustavson, who are beginning their training as Trainee Solicitors with the firm today alongside Lucy Stout. A fantastic next step in their careers, and we wish all three every success as they begin their training!

🎉 Congratulations to our newly qualified solicitors!

We’re delighted to congratulate Emily Cresswell, who today officially qualified as a solicitor.

Emily will be continuing her career with Ben H***e Bell, joining our Mental Health and Court of Protection Department as a solicitor. We’re very pleased that Emily will be remaining with the firm and look forward to seeing her continue to develop her career with us.

We’d also like to congratulate Jonathan Parr, who qualified as a solicitor today. Jonathan has now moved on to pastures new in London, and we wish him every success and all the very best as he begins the next chapter of his career.
