🚨 A Quick Message About Respecting People's Time 🚨
A couple of days ago, someone contacted me asking for help with their case.
As I always do, I offered an initial call, listened to their situation, and provided some initial guidance to help them understand their options. We then agreed to book a **£99 Case Clarity Debrief** so we could go through everything in detail and create a plan moving forward.
The day of the appointment arrived.
❌ No payment received.
❌ No cancellation message.
❌ No response to calls.
❌ No response to messages.
❌ Blocked.
Now, I completely understand that circumstances change. People get cold feet, finances become tight, emergencies happen, or they decide not to proceed.
That's absolutely fine.
What isn't okay is booking a slot that could have gone to another parent who desperately needed support and then disappearing without a word.
Many of the people who contact me are in crisis. They are facing court hearings, Children's Services involvement, contact issues, or EHCP battles. My availability is limited, and when I reserve time for someone, that means turning away other enquiries.
A simple message saying:
👉 "I can't afford it right now."
👉 "I've changed my mind."
👉 "I need to postpone."
is more than enough.
Respect goes both ways.
If you book a consultation or debrief with any professional—whether that's a solicitor, therapist, coach, or family law support provider—please communicate if you can't make it.
It helps everyone.
To those clients who do show up, engage, and put the work in: thank you. Those are the people who make real progress in their cases. ❤️
