What is a no win no fee agreement?

A no win no fee agreement is a contract between a solicitor and client.

Usually the agreement is that if the client is not successful in recovering damages from the fault party , then there are no legal fees to pay.

If successful, the solicitor's costs are then recovered from the fault party's insurers.

PI Solicitors rocked by High Court decision as millions of clients could stand to benefit from a court judgment which reduced legal fees deducted from compensation.

In Belsner v CAM Legal Services, the Court ruled that the Claimant had not given informed consent to her former personal injury solicitors deducting £385.50.

It seems like it is the laws best kept secret that clients STILL do not know that they are entitled to a refund for incorrectly charged deductions.

In so many cases that we’ve come across, clients do not even know they’ve had a deduction taken as the Solicitor only tells them the net figure.
