Happy to be a part of this Stalybridge Celtic our hometown team 💙💙 We have been working with a few other high profile clubs recently offering our chemical free w**d control services and equipment in around pitch stadiums, if you or anyone you know are in a football environment pass on our information.

A great demonstration with Morecambe town council, they contacted us to help them reduce their glyphosate usage and as you can see the results speak for themselves we have the most effective solution to glyphosate contact us to book a meeting or demonstration.

Happy did you know study’s have found that the use of glyphosate negatively affects bees. The fact sheet shows that glyphosate:

Disrupts the gut microbiome and makes bee colonies much more vulnerable to disease and other harmful effects.
Disturbs development of bee brood (eggs, larvae and pupae). Honey bee brood fed with glyphosate-contaminated food had delayed larvae development and reduced weight.
Can negatively affect the thermoregulation of bumblebee colonies: non-lethal exposure to glyphosate leads to the indirect decline of the colony.
Has a negative impact on reproduction: glyphosate impacts normal development in bees and reproduction success.
Disrupts the foraging abilities and navigation: glyphosate impacts their nervous system which affects bees’ behaviour at very low concentrations. This weakens the colony’s potential to survive.
Has a negative impact on bees’ learning ability and memory: glyphosate reduces honeybees’ sensitivity to nectar and elemental learning and short-term memory retention.
Glyphosate products contain co-formulants that can be toxic to bees as well. The toxicity of these additives is not properly assessed either alone or in combination with the other ingredients. Just in case anyone wanted more reasons why we should be moving away from using Glyphosate based w**dkillers - especially in urban or public settings đź‘€

From the article:

- The new research also found evidence of impacts on DNA and a correlation between glyphosate levels and oxidative stress on seminal plasma, suggesting significant impacts on fertility and reproductive health.
- The paper comes as researchers look for answers to why global fertility rates are dropping, and many suspect exposure to toxic chemicals like glyphosate is a significant driver of the decline.
- Agricultural workers recorded the highest glyphosate levels, and 96% of farmers included in the study had at least some. A landscaper also showed among the highest levels.

Do you know that many studies have shown that glyphosate-based w**dkillers can cause cancer?

Yet many organisations still use them to spray around children’s play parks and other public settings.

One organisation trying to stop this is Pesticide Action Network UK - why not give them a follow if you’re not already?

They have created a brilliant Pesticide-Free-Towns campaign, where they are encouraging and celebrating those towns in the UK that have opted out of using nasty chemical w**dkillers and sprays.

Bit of a heavy one today (bear with me) - do you know which fruit or veg has the highest levels of pesticides?

Strawberries lead the way at no1 (don’t tell anyone at Wimbledon!) - and we’re outlining the other 4 below.

Second on the most-pesticide laden fruit and veg list are Lemons. 83% of the samples tested were found to have multiple pesticide residues present.

Pre-packed salad is next on the list in 3rd spot, with 82% of the samples tested found to have multiple pesticide residues present.

In 4th spot we have grapes, with 78% of their samples tested found to have multiple pesticide residues present.

Last but not least in 5th spot we have peaches & nectarines, with 67% of samples tested found to have multiple pesticide residues present.

We’ve drawn up the lovely graphic below showing the top 5 in full.

We’d like to remind you that our Foamstream w**ding solution can and has been used to w**d in and around locations where food has been grown, such as in vinyards.

So, pesticides aren’t always necessary (they are often the cheapest/easiest option).

Big thanks to our friends at Pesticide Action Network UK for publishing this research a while back 👏
