The Old Chapel Fundraiser
CHALLENGE247 - 247 miles in one weekend - We did it 👊

Well done to all at the weekend as ourselves at R Costings and our friends at Local Buzz Marketing along with family members smashed out 254 miles to complete our challenge.
Exercise, fresh air and a general feel good factor was had by all as we walked, ran, cycled and even scootered our way through it 🚶‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️ 🚴‍♂️ 🛴

A total of just over £700 was raised so a huge thank you to all those who donated we are very grateful.

This was our first event towards raising funds to buy a defibrillator to be placed on the outside of our wonderful Office building The Old Chapel, this will be available to everyone in the local Community.

Members of both Teams recently undertook CPR training with Magpas and the one thing that surprised all was the shortage of defibrillators available to the local community.
A defibrillator within 3-5 minutes reach can increase a survival rate by 50-70%

We are looking for a Trainee Costs Draftsperson to join our team!

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Full-time: 8.30 - 5pm
Department: Costs Litigation

R Costings is looking to expand their highly experienced costs team and have a unique opportunity to recruit a Trainee Costs Draftsperson into their Cambridgeshire office, with the opportunity for hybrid working following successful training.

We provide costs litigation support to our clients, including the preparation of Bills of Costs, Costs and Case Management and seeing matters through to Detailed Assessment to include advocacy in Court, under Civil Procedure Rules. This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a supportive and motivated team with a long-standing reputation in the industry as one of the market leaders.

We will provide training (1 year) with a view to qualifying as a Junior Costs Draftsman for R Costings upon completion.

Join us this January for an evening of excellent entertainment, live music and of course brilliant food and drink at our Talent Show at Phoenix Arts Club, London’s legendary theatrical hangout. There’ll also be some exclusive prizes to be won on the night!

All of the proceeds from the ticket sales go directly to the incredible Child Brain Injury Trust, which helps families when they are left without any support and have no one else to turn to. They help support families and professionals working with children and young people who find themselves in need of information about what’s happened and how to cope.

Last week, we celebrated our 20th anniversary.

We would like to say a special thanks to all of our clients and staff who have been with us throughout the years, we wouldn’t be where we are today without you!
