77% of over-55s lack Power of Attorney

Recent research has revealed that more than three quarters of UK adults don't have a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) registered to act on their behalf should the worst happen.

The research, by Canada Life, found that:

• 78% of UK adults don’t have an LPA registered
• 77% of over-55s don’t have LPA
• LPAs registered in 2020/21 down 26.5%
