💚 Krivan Intercultural UK is proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week and to share this important local initiative from Sheffield Mind Wexate
🗣️The new & Support Hub coming to is very welcome news for many individuals and families who may be navigating challenges, , assessment waiting lists, school or social care meetings, family stress, and the daily pressure of trying to be understood.
🗣️For many people in our communities, there is often an additional barrier: language.
Being seen, heard or understood can feel like an upheaval for some and I can help!
🇬🇧When English is a second language, important information can be harder to process, especially in stressful meetings or situations where a child, teenager, parent or family member may already feel overwhelmed, cornered, anxious or misunderstood.
🗣️Neurodivergence, trauma, ADHD, autism, mental health difficulties and cultural differences can all affect how people communicate, respond, remember facts, ask questions or advocate for themselves.
🗣️Through Krivan Intercultural UK and Slovak Sheffield UK, I already support many individuals and families facing these combined challenges. Slovak Sheffield UK
As a Chartered Linguist, Professional & Approved Interpreter, Translator, Cultural & Education Consultant, trauma-aware Life & Language Coach, and DBS-vetted professional with experience across education, family support, social care and community settings, I understand how quickly things can escalate when language, culture and neurodivergence are not properly recognised.

New Autism & ADHD Support Hub Coming to Sheffield
Sheffield Mind is delighted to announce that we will be hosting the Sheffield Autism and ADHD Support (AASH) Hub from our Wellbeing Centre in Sharrow, starting 1 June 2026.
The AASH Hub will offer support, information and guidance for anyone aged 16+ who is autistic and/or has ADHD — including people who are awaiting assessment or who feel they may be neurodivergent and want to explore this further.
The Hub will run 25 hours a week, with a mix of in person and online sessions, making it easier for people across Sheffield to access the support they need.
Full details will be available on our website shortly but if you would like to know more in the meantime, why not join us for our open day on Friday 22 May, 10am–2pm. Professionals, service users, families and anyone interested in the new Hub are warmly invited to drop in, meet the team and explore the space.
