🏡 The market has changed… but so have buyer expectations.
Lately we’ve seen more buyers assuming every seller is desperate and every property should come with a huge discount. The reality is far more balanced.
✅ Not every property has fallen in value.
Many areas have remained stable or continued to grow steadily. Improvements, renovations and local investment all affect value, so compare like-for-like before making an offer.
✅ Not every seller is under pressure to sell.
Some owners are happy to wait months for the right buyer rather than accept an offer they feel is too low. A property being on the market doesn’t automatically mean they’ll take any price.
✅ Reasonable negotiation works.
Unrealistically low offers, repeated price reductions after surveys for minor issues, or aggressive tactics can damage trust. Buying a home isn’t just about getting the lowest possible price—it’s about reaching an agreement both sides are happy with.
The best deals happen when buyers do their research, sellers price realistically, and both parties negotiate respectfully.
Whether you’re buying your first home or selling your current one, good advice and realistic expectations will always outperform guesswork.
