As part of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme of “taking action”, now is the time for employers to move beyond awareness and start building the confidence to support mental health properly in the workplace.

One of the biggest fears employers face when managing mental health issues at work is saying the wrong thing.

But avoiding the conversation altogether can create even bigger problems - misunderstandings, grievances, long-term absence, damaged culture, and, in worst-case scenarios, costly tribunal claims.

The reality is employers are expected to support mental health in the workplace, but many leaders have never been shown how to handle these conversations confidently or correctly.

That’s why we’re hosting a FREE seminar:

Can you help? 🙏 Willow, one of our alpacas, has needed (and continues to need) a lot of veterinary care recently as she’s very poorly. If you can spare anything to help, we’d be very grateful. We’re doing everything we can and the prognosis for recovery is good but our vet bills are going through the roof!
Thank you in advance. 😍🥰

Keeping up with changes in employment law is one of the biggest challenges we hear from employers - especially when new legislation introduces multiple updates at once.

From 6 April, the Employment Rights Bill brings important changes across areas including sick pay, paternity leave and unpaid parental leave. There are also changes to whistleblowing protections, the Fair Work Agency, national minimum wage, statutory payments, and further legislation still to come. Knowing what applies to your organisation - and what action to take - can feel overwhelming.

That’s why we’re hosting a series of free in-person seminars and a webinar to break down the changes to the Employment Rights Bill in clear, practical terms and help employers stay informed and compliant with confidence.

AI is reshaping the way companies hire, offering both exciting opportunities and important challenges.

On the plus side, AI can dramatically speed up resume screening, reduce unconscious bias, automate repetitive tasks like interview scheduling and provide insights that improve hiring outcomes.

However, it’s not without drawbacks. AI systems can still carry hidden biases if they’re trained on flawed data. The process can feel impersonal to candidates, and technical errors may lead to great talent being overlooked. There are also important privacy concerns to consider when handling sensitive applicant data.

Ultimately, AI in hiring works best when it enhances, not replaces, human judgment.

Want to ensure you're compliant while using AI in your hiring process?
