Full time permanent vacancy in busy Conveyancing Department for hard working and enthusiastic conveyancing secretary.

The successful applicant will ideally have:-

• Experience in residential conveyancing
• Confident telephone manner handling telephone enquiries from Clients, Estate Agents and third parties.
• Be able to audio and copy type
• Be proficient with Outlook, Word and preferably Excel
• Experience with Lexis Nexis Smart Forms would be an advantage but not essential.

It's that time of year again when the donkeys are getting ready and putting their race jackets on for the annual Eling and Testwood Donkey Derby in support of the 4th Eling Sea Scouts and 5th Testwood Scouts.

Date: Saturday, May 16th.
Time: Gates open at 12:00 PM sharp.
Location: Eling Recreation Ground.
Admission: Adults need a programme—grab one in advance for £2.00 to save money and use the Fast-Track entrance. (It's £3.00 at the gate).
Younglings: Kids under 12 are FREE when accompanied by an adult.
Activities: From Archery and Climbing to Donkey Rides and the Battle Zone, plus many other activites on offer! *Other exclusions apply for certain activities
Currency: Buy your tokens at the RED Gazebos (£2.50 each or 5 for £10).

∙Full Time Private Client Solicitor/FCILEx with at least 3 years PQE in a private client fee earning position or a returning fee earner to the profession for this Firm's Totton office. STEP qualification and membership of Solicitors for Elderly is of advantage but not essential.

∙ Full Time Private Client Legal Assistant for this Firm's Southampton office dealing with Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney work. In addition some knowledge of conveyancing in a support role will be helpful.

We would like to share our congratulations to Elisa Green who qualified as a Solicitor at the end of 2025. Elisa joined the Firm’s Shirley office in 2022 and has been working in the family department.

Elisa has worked incredibly hard to finish her studies and qualify over the past three and half years, alongside working in the office four days per week.

Elisa graduated from the LLB Law degree from The University of Chichester in 2022 and is the University’s first fully-qualified female solicitor to graduate from its Law degree. Elisa was introduced to the Firm when she attended the University’s Careers Fair. "I spoke to them about job opportunities and got an interview and the rest is history," she said.

Elisa is now a Solicitor in the Firm’s family department dealing with divorce and financial issues that are linked to the divorce process, child arrangements and domestic abuse matters.
