For many charitable organisations, bequests are not simply a welcome bonus, they are a lifeline. But did you know that leaving money to a charity in your will also has significant inheritance tax benefits? It's true. Read about it here...

Did you know that a will can be changed after death?

Beneficiaries can adjust how an estate is distributed after death through a mechanism called "Deed of Variation". Affected beneficiaries need to agree to the changes, and there's a bit more to it.

So we wrote an article explaining what a Deed of Variation is, how it works and when it may be appropriate. Have a look; we're here if you have any questions.

WHAT DOES BEING AN EXECUTOR OF A WILL ACTUALLY INVOLVE?

Being named as an executor in someone's will is both an honour and a significant responsibility. It means the person who passed away trusted you to carry out their final wishes and manage their affairs with care. If you've recently discovered you're an executor, you might be wondering what this actually means and what you need to do next.

The good news is that you don't have to navigate this alone. While the role comes with important duties, understanding the process and knowing when to seek help can make all the difference. We've outlined everything you need to know in our latest article:
