We’re delighted to share an exciting new chapter for Collins Solicitors with the acquisition of P.A. Duffy & Co., Magherafelt.
After 43 years of practising law in Magherafelt, Gerry Conway has decided that now is the right time to step away from the practice he has built and served for so many years.
Gerry first began practising in Magherafelt in 1985 and, over the past four decades, has formed lasting friendships with a wide variety of clients while witnessing the town grow and develop into a location of choice for so many families.
Speaking about his decision to step away, Gerry said:
"As I’m 68 in October, I took the decision to step away when I’m still in good health and ready to explore different opportunities."
Gerry chose Collins Solicitors to take over the practice because of the shared values and the opportunity to provide continuity for both clients and staff:
"It’s an upcoming progressive practice and a natural fit for my business. It was important my staff were able to continue as before, and this opportunity was tailor made for continuity."
Most importantly, Gerry wanted to ensure that clients would continue to receive the personal and trusted service they have come to expect.
"My priority was always ensuring clients continued to receive the personal, trusted service they deserve. I am confident that Collins Solicitors shares those values and will continue to serve the community well."
Gerry also paid tribute to the clients and staff who have been such an important part of the practice’s journey:
"I want to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the years and thank them all for their business. I’d particularly like to thank my staff, both present and past, as the office only flourished because of their commitment and loyal service."
We are proud to build on the strong foundations Gerry and the team at P.A. Duffy & Co. have established within the Magherafelt community, while bringing the wider Collins Solicitors team, expertise and resources to support the next chapter.
