We are proud to support Jamie Campbell, Partner and Preston Branch Lead as he takes on an extraordinary swimming challenge in aid of our nine chosen charities for the year.
In early August 2026, Jamie is attempting a solo swim of the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland. This 22-mile stretch of sea is widely regarded as one of the world’s most challenging ocean swims.
The swim will be carried out under the rules of the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association which means swimming trunks, swim cap and goggles only (no wetsuit allowed!). In order to qualify, Jamie had to do an 8-hour swim in the Liverpool Docks (water temperature 13.9°C) on 16 May 2026, during which he swam 14 miles.
This is an incredible challenge, and Jamie is hoping to raise as much as possible for our chosen charities. If you are able to support, whether through a donation or by sharing, it would be hugely appreciated.
Wishing Jamie the very best of luck!
