May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, a global campaign shining a light on one of the most common – yet often overlooked – cancers.

Bladder cancer is highly treatable when diagnosed early. However, delayed or missed diagnosis can have devastating consequences. In this case study, Enable Law’s Paula Barnes highlights how failures to properly investigate symptoms can allow the disease to progress, underlining why awareness, early detection and appropriate follow‑up are so vital.

Yesterday Enable Law had the pleasure to be part of the Amputee Lunch & Learn event alongside Plymouth Neuro Physio, Unique Mobility and the Limbless Association.

The session brought together an incredible group of people, all committed to supporting individuals living with limb loss through shared learning, collaboration and community. There were insightful and honest discussions around the importance of engagement with physiotherapy throughout rehabilitation, as well as the challenges individuals may face along the way.

Thank you to our own colleagues, Morgan Lister and Charlotte Morgan, for their contributions as speakers.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of the value of connection, ensuring that no one navigating limb loss feels they have to do so alone.
