Our Cadhay office will be closed for Easter from Thursday 2nd April as Western Power are cutting the electricity that day to replace poles.
We are then closed as normal for Easter week to give our staff ( and office dogs) a well deserved break.
The office reopens on Monday 13th April and we wish you and your families a very Happy Easter 🐣

We have taken the decision to close our office for the Festive period and reopen on 12th night (5th January 2026) to give our small dedicated team time to be with their families and have a proper break to recover from recent ill health and an extremely busy couple of months in the run up to Christmas.
We wish all our clients and followers all best wishes and good health and thank you for your support over the last year.
We have not sent Christmas cards either but instead will be making a donation in lieu of buying and sending them to our chosen charity Veterans With Dogs in January to help support their work.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄

Busy day yesterday up in the smoke to take part in the London Legal Walk with some of my fellow directors and trustees raising funds for the The CILEx Foundation doing the afternoon River east route taking in many of the iconic landmarks and keeping a good pace to finish the 10k in just over 2 1/4 hours however sheer numbers of people at some narrow spots slowed us down. Great to catch up with fellow director Mohammed and Women in Law Group Kent director Steffers for some lively banter on route. Can beat a good soundtrack to keep you on pace and best of Saturday night fever 🕺 hit the spot. Good lot of funds and also awareness of the charity raised 👏

Our offices reopened today after our staff Easter holiday. Went to deliver the post this afternoon and just love the amazing creativity of this Easter postbox topper outside Sainsbury’s - thank you to whoever created this - it really cheered our day up after a lovely break 😊👏

Well the much anticipated changes to Inheritance Tax failed to occur in the Budget and we are still stuck with the same system and allowances until 2028.
IHT has generated £7.4 billion in revenue over the last year and that is set to rise with increased house prices and more people caught by the system.
It makes having a will in place and getting IHT planning advice even more important.
Meanwhile here is a photo of some spring lambs at Cadhay to cheer you up after that rather depressing news

We are back from our Christmas break and the office reopens today. We were greated by the lovely sight of the snowdrops waving gently in the breeze and a reminder that spring will soon be here. Happy New Year to all our clients and followers.

We are now closed for the Festive period and reopening on 4th January 2024 so our staff can have a proper break with their families after a very busy 2023.
The partners, staff and office dogs wish all our clients and followers a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
Instead of sending out individual cards this year we have chosen to give a donation to Hospiscare and we will be on duty providing their out of hours emergency Will service over the Christmas period.
