🚨 JT Leyland employees – based in Ackenthwaite, Milnthorpe have you been made redundant or are you at risk of redundancy?

If you have been made redundant or are at risk of redundancy following the administration of JT Leyland Limited, you could be entitled to a protective award if you were not properly consulted before the redundancies.

💷 You could receive up to 180 days’ pay.

A protective award is separate from your statutory redundancy payment, meaning you could potentially receive both.

If JT Leyland is unable to pay because of the administration, the Government’s Redundancy Payments Service may cover up to 8 weeks’ pay, subject to the statutory weekly cap. Based on the figures currently provided, this could be up to £6,008.

✅ No minimum length of service is required for a protective award claim.

If you were affected by the JT Leyland administration and were not represented by a recognised trade union, it is worth finding out whether you could have a claim.

✨ What a great night! Here’s some highlights from the Pearson Solicitors End of Summer Social at The Turkey Shed! ☀️

A brilliant venue, amazing food, and such a fantastic turn out from our B2B clients and contacts - it was so special catching up with everyone. 💛

And together we raised £510 for Endometriosis Awareness North - a cause so close to our hearts. Thank you for your generosity and support! 💜

We can’t wait to do it all again next year 🥂

📢 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE IN MEMORY OF CLAIRE JOYCE 💛

This Saturday, colleagues, friends and families from Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers and Albion House Wealth Management will come together to take on the Saddleworth 3 Peaks Challenge, walking in loving memory of our dear friend and colleague, Claire Joyce, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Claire had completed this very challenge herself, even when she thought she wouldn’t be able to do it. That makes this walk an especially fitting tribute to her memory. She showed us what courage, strength and determination really look like and now, we’ll walk in her footsteps. 💛

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice cared for Claire, and the firm has donated £4,000, which has already been sent to the charity.

We’re incredibly grateful that the challenge has already raised £950 and counting! The generosity and support have been amazing.

More than 30 people will be taking part, colleagues, friends and supporters with even a few four-legged companions joining us along the way! 🐾

All ages, all abilities, walking together, side by side, for Claire. 💛

🏦 Joanne Ormston and Richard Eastwood, Directors at Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, welcome the Vernon Building Society to Uppermill.

We’re delighted to welcome the Vernon Building Society to our High Street offices, bringing face-to-face savings and mortgage services to Saddleworth and the wider Oldham community.

The new community branch is due to open in November, operating Tuesday to Thursday, 10am–4pm.

With access to traditional high street banking services having reduced significantly in recent years, we’re pleased to be part of an initiative that brings more local financial expertise and face-to-face support to the community.
