At Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, we’re delighted to support the Saddleworth Village Olympics, a wonderful community event that gives hundreds of local children the chance to get active, try new sports, make friends and enjoy some healthy competition.

Every year, nearly 800 children from across the Saddleworth villages take part in almost 1,000 training sessions, leading up to an incredible 154 competitions across 13 different sports.

It’s a truly unique event and one that showcases the fantastic community spirit here in Saddleworth.❤️

The competitions take place throughout September, following months of training, before the villages come together for celebrations in early October.

We’re particularly pleased to support an event that is now free for all children, helping ensure that every young person has the opportunity to participate, regardless of their circumstances. Donations from families help keep the games running and allow this brilliant tradition to continue.

A huge thank you to the Sponsors and Friends of the Saddleworth Village Olympics, the organisers, volunteers, families and everyone involved in making the games happen.

A workplace accident can have a lasting impact — physically, emotionally and financially.

Our latest case study highlights how an agency worker suffered a serious hand injury while working in an electrical engineering environment, resulting in infection, ongoing symptoms and permanent scarring.

With support from personal injury solicitor Michael Talbot, our client successfully recovered over £3,000 in compensation, including losses such as travel expenses and loss of earnings.

The case also highlights an important reminder: agency workers have the same legal protections when it comes to workplace safety, and employers have a duty to provide a safe working environment.

What an amazing night at the Oldham Business Network event organised by Ian Taylor! 🤝

Tonight was held at The Rec Rooms, Uppermill – and it didn’t disappoint. It was so lovely catching up with familiar faces, plus we made loads of great new contacts too 🤩

Huge praise for the venue – the buffet was absolutely outstanding 🥗🍰, plus great music, a raffle, drinks, sunshine and everyone supporting one another.
