The sun shone, the competition was strong and the atmosphere was as jolly as ever!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, have a good catch-up and meet plenty of new ones too.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable, practical and self-motivated Estate Handyperson / Maintenance Operative to join a friendly estate team in beautiful coastal Argyll, near Oban.

This is a varied, hands-on role working across self-catering holiday accommodation, residential properties, estate grounds, machinery and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping the estate maintained, guest-ready and operating to a high standard.

We’re looking for a reliable all-rounder with strong practical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, rural estates, hospitality or a similar practical role would be highly valued.

The role offers plenty of variety, including property repairs and refurbishment, preventative maintenance, grounds and machinery work, fencing, private water supply checks and liaising with specialist contractors.

In return, you’ll enjoy a rewarding working environment within a beautiful coastal estate, a supportive team, competitive salary dependent on experience and the potential for estate accommodation.

Applications from couples will also be considered, with the possibility of part-time work for a spouse in areas such as housekeeping, gardening or administration where appropriate.
