Client Intake & New Business Consultant

Full-time | Office-based | Norfolk

Are you a confident, people-focused communicator with a talent for building trust quickly? We are a well-established general practice law firm based in Norfolk, and we are looking for an exceptional individual to be the first point of contact for people seeking legal help.

This is not a traditional receptionist role. It is a dynamic, commercially important position at the heart of our firm- the person who turns an enquiry into a client relationship.

The Role

You will be responsible for handling all new business enquiries across our full range of legal services, including conveyancing, family law, wills and probate, contentious probate, personal injury and clinical negligence and dispute resolution.

Day to day, you will:

*Answer inbound calls, emails, and web enquiries promptly and professionally

*Listen carefully to prospective clients, identify their needs, and explain how we can help

*Guide enquirers through the next steps and secure appointments with our solicitors

*Qualify leads and capture accurate information in our case management system

*Follow up on outstanding enquiries and maintain a healthy conversion pipeline

*Work closely with fee earners to ensure a seamless client handover

What We Are Looking For...

The ideal candidate will be:

*A natural communicator who puts people at ease, particularly those in stressful situations

*Commercially minded with experience in a sales, client services, or intake environment

*Organised, thorough, and disciplined with CRM or case management systems

*Resilient and calm under pressure, able to manage a busy and varied workload

*Genuinely interested in the law and in helping people navigate it

Previous experience in legal intake, financial services, insurance, or estate agency would be an advantage, but is not essential. What matters most is your ability to listen, engage, and convert.

We won! 🏆

Jessica Proctor, Alice Smith, Georgia Pashley and Sophie Isles took on the Norfolk and Norwich Law Society Treasure Hunt this week and absolutely smashed it, bringing the shield home to Simper Law.

The photos speak for themselves honestly. Deep in concentration, power flexing in front of Norwich Castle, performing dramatic scenes outside the cathedral, and somehow convincing a very smartly dressed stranger on the street to help them with a challenge. We have so many questions....

We are so proud of these four. Well done girls, you were brilliant.

Ten years ago, Kim Simper had a vision. Not just of a law firm, but of a different kind of law firm.

After nearly 20 years working in the profession, for others and alongside others, there was always something that did not quite fit. Something about the way people deserved to be treated, advised, and supported felt like it was missing.

So she retired.... And then she came back, on her own terms, and built it herself.

Simper Law started as a niche private client practice rooted in wills, trusts, and probate. Eight years ago, Victoria Smart joined, immediately saw what Kim was building, and got stuck in.

It has not always been easy. Building something truly different never is.

But the hard work, dedication, and refusal to compromise on what we stand for means that today we are genuinely reaping the rewards of that, and we are nowhere near done.

Today, we have six offices across Norfolk and Suffolk. We practise across private client, contentious probate, civil and commercial disputes, residential and commercial conveyancing, family law, and personal injury and clinical negligence.

Most importantly, we have a team we are of. People who joined us on work experience are now apprentice solicitors. Graduates qualified with us. Individuals have grown here and continue to grow here.

What has never changed is who we are.

Down to earth. Straight talking.

We treat every single client with the same level of importance, whether their matter is straightforward or the most complex thing they have ever faced. We give honest, practical advice. We make sure people understand what is happening at every stage, so they can make the right decision for themselves- not just the legal one.

Ten years is something to celebrate. But what we are most proud of is that we still have so much more to do.

So many couples build a life together. They share a home, finances, memories, and sometimes children, yet never make a Will.

The reality is that if you are not married or in a civil partnership, the law does not automatically recognise your partner when it comes to inheritance.

This can mean your partner receives nothing. It can mean your home does not pass to them. It can also leave your loved ones dealing with stress, uncertainty, and potential legal disputes at an already difficult time.

A Will is not just a document. It provides clarity, protection, and peace of mind for the person you have chosen to build your life with.

Do not leave it to chance. Make sure your wishes, and your partner, are properly protected.

Many families are unaware of the challenges they may face if a loved one loses the ability to make decisions and no Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is in place.

Without an LPA, relatives do not automatically have the authority to manage finances or make important decisions on someone’s behalf. In many cases, families must apply to the Court of Protection to be appointed as a Deputy before they can act.

This process can be time-consuming, costly and emotionally stressful at an already difficult time.

At Simper Law, our Private Client team regularly supports families with both planning ahead and navigating these situations when they arise.

Casey Beavis, Head of Private Client, works closely with clients to put LPAs in place, helping individuals ensure that the people they trust can step in and make decisions if needed.

Where no LPA exists, Georgia Pashley assists families with applications to the Court of Protection, guiding them through the Deputyship process and helping them manage the legal and practical responsibilities involved.

Planning ahead with an LPA can provide clarity, reassurance and protection for both individuals and their families.
