We did it!🥳

Our incredible team at Principia Law has collectively walked 1,276 miles — the distance from our Northwich office all the way to our sister office in Madrid! 🏃‍♂️

This effort was in aid of and, most importantly, to support the amazing work of St Luke's Cheshire Hospice

So far, we’ve raised over £1,100, and donations are still welcome!

Proud to be a part of raising money for St Luke's Cheshire Hospice😀🎽

Today is # and the team at Principia Law in Northwich have used it as an opportunity to fundraise for St Luke’s.

For the past week, staff have collectively attempted to walk a staggering 1260 miles, the distance from their HQ at Gadbrook Park to Madrid, and Lizzi Reynolds from Principia Law said that the challenge had been a great success:

"From a Company perspective we have come together as a team and encouraged everyone to be more active and we are very proud of that. Our main target was to raise £500 for St Luke’s and we’ve already passed that."

We're excited to announce our Principia fitness challenge as part of Fitness Day 2024! 🏃‍♂️ 🎽

We're setting our sights on a collective goal: covering the miles from our office in Northwich to Madrid - home of our sister company, Northgate Spain. That's over 1,000 miles of walking, running and/or cycling!

From the 12th September up to the fitness day on the 18th we shall be working together to achieve our target.

But it's not just about achieving this distance: it's about team spirit, staying fit and raising money for a great cause!

We’ve chosen to fundraise for St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice, a local charity who provide a huge range of support from end of life care to supporting carers, as well as helping children cope with grief and assisting patients return to work after an illness.

The system issues that have been affecting our operations are still ongoing.

The teams and external providers are still working on resolving the issues and we will provide another update once systems are up and running.

Principia Law colleague Kim Lastoweckyi, recently achieved an incredible milestone, celebrating 20 years with the firm! 🥳

Kim started her career as an apprentice before progressing through different roles, such as Team Coach and then Paralegal in 2013. At this point, she took the leap to begin her CILEx legal studies, which Principia fully funded.

Now, as an Associate, she has reflected on her time here, noting her most memorable moment was doing her law exams and qualifying on her first attempt. “I always wanted to study Law, but I never thought I could do it with a 2-year-old at home and a full-time job. I will always be very thankful to Principia for their support and for funding my studies to make this dream possible.”

We would like to share our recent success in our case - Haris v Emech & QBE Ltd at Cardiff County Court.

The case was a Defendant application for pre-action disclosure of claimant financials and other documents.

Principia Law defended the application which was subsequently dismissed and we were also awarded costs on an indemnity basis.

The application was found to be premature and without merit.

Well done to everyone on the team – your hard work really paid off! Also, thank you to John Boumphrey, our counsel at the hearing.

MD celebrates a decade with Principia Law.

Peter Jerman Principia Law Managing Director - who was involved in the launch of the company back in 2013 - celebrates his 10th anniversary with the business, having seen it grow from a small five-person team to a leading legal firm with over 100 dedicated professionals and a coveted record of winning cases.

Speaking recently, Peter said, “Although it’s my 10th year with the business, we wouldn’t be where we are today without two important factors - our fantastic team and the high quality of cases we receive. The satisfaction of seeing talented new colleagues join our team and develop with us never diminishes”. He added, “As we continue to grow and recruit, there’s a range of opportunities for others to follow in my footsteps – who knows where they could be in 10 years”.
