🌦️ The sun may not be shining as much as we’d like at The Depot, but Spring is definitely in the air.

“Swanica” (Pen 🩷) and “Swanathan” (Cob 💙) are very excitedly awaiting their new arrivals. By our calculations, the cygnets should be making their grand debut within the next few weeks - and swan eggs usually hatch within a 24-hour period of each other. 🐣

So keep watching this space for fluffy updates and adorable photos. 📸

Today, Donna rescued a duckling from the Depot. 🐥

After checking the area where it was found alone and in danger, there was no sign of its mum, so she brought it back to The Depot office and sought advice.

The Depot are very fortunate to know Emma Thorneycroft, a local lady who has dedicated her life to the welfare of swans and ducks.

She guided us on how to keep “Lord Quackington” warm, hydrated, and fed, before coming to collect him and take him to the sanctuary for proper care. 🤝

As brief as his visit was, it was lovely having him with us.

We wish “Lord Quackington” 🐥 all the best.
