‘Maintaining membership at the Garrick Club is fundamentally incompatible with the core principles of justice, equality and fairness’

A group of more than 60 lawyers in England and Wales have called on all judges who are members of the men-only Garrick Club to resign from it immediately, claiming membership is “incompatible with the core principles of justice, equality and fairness”.

So glad MPs are getting a pay rise. After they’ve fought tooth and nail to refuse all other public sector workers a pay rise and after they’ve led us into a recession and brexit, I can think of no one more deserving of a pay rise! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦
