It’s been a little quiet around here lately, hasn’t it? 💙

I’ve been dealing with some ongoing health challenges over the past few months, which have meant I’ve needed to take a step back from some of the things that come with running a business. I’ve still been working away behind the scenes, looking after my clients and helping people get their Wills and estate planning sorted, but social media has definitely taken a back seat for a while!

I’m hoping to be a little more present on here again, sharing useful information, answering your questions and helping make planning for the future feel a little less daunting.

I’m very proud to announce that I have been named as a FINALIST for the Professional Services Award at the 2026 Newton Abbot Business & Community Awards. How amazing is that?! 🥳

My mission is to take the fear out of future planning, by providing advice and support that is accessible, affordable and personalised. I want to help people understand that, although it’s important, it doesn’t have to be scary or stressful and also to share that proper estate planning is necessary for everyone and that it’s not dependent on age or wealth.

Well, hello everyone! 👋🏻

It’s been a while since I last posted; the last few months have certainly been busy behind the scenes!

As well as spending time meeting with clients helping to put all those future plans in place, I’ve also been working on some exciting improvements to my website and creating some new resources that I can’t wait to share with you.

Whether you’ve been following my page for years or you’ve only just found me, thank you for being here. Supporting a small local business really does make a difference. And on that note, now seems like the perfect time to reintroduce myself…

I’m Kirsty, the face behind Signed & Sorted Estate Planning. I help individuals, couples and families put the right plans in place for the future through Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate planning advice.

I know these conversations aren’t always the easiest to have, which is why my aim is to make the whole process as simple, relaxed and jargon-free as possible. No pressure, no scare tactics - just friendly advice tailored to your circumstances.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me juggling family life, home educating my youngest two girls, drinking far too much tea, or planning our next family adventure!

I’ll soon be back to sharing helpful tips, answering common estate planning questions and, hopefully revealing some brand new resources soon too! 👀

April Fools! 😂💙

If only it were this easy… A “Get Out of Inheritance Tax Free” card would save a lot of people a lot of money! But sadly, HMRC aren’t quite as generous as games like Monopoly 😂

Want the good news though? There are legitimate ways to reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax your loved ones may have to pay, but it takes proper planning.

If this is something you’ve been meaning to sort (and keep putting off), take this as your sign! 💙

Hello everyone! I hope that your New Years have gotten off to a good start? Today I joined in with an online business networking post where you had to introduce yourself and it made me think… there’s been a few new followers to the page recently, so it’s probably time for a reintroduction!

So, who am I?

My name is Kirsty and I live here in Newton Abbot with my husband and our children. Our youngest two girls are home educated so, outside of running my business, that is how I spend most of my time, which I love! ❤️

What do I do?

If you’ve found your way to this page, then you’ve probably got a bit of an idea anyway, but I am an independent estate planning consultant, specialising in Wills and Powers of Attorney. After working as a legal advisor for several years, I retrained with The College of Will Writing and launched my own business offering services of my own that are both affordable and accessible.

Why?

Death and loss of capacity are still such taboo subjects, my mission is to take the FEAR out of planning for the future by making the process as simple and stressful as possible-free as possible. After all, peace of mind is one of the greatest gifts! Personal experience has also taught me how important this kind of organisation is for those we leave behind.

Who do I work with?

Anyone over the age of 18 can make a Will so I am happy to help whoever I can, whether this be individuals or couples, people with young families, older generations or business owners. I don’t specialise in a particular age or circumstance; I believe everyone deserves support in this area - it’s equally important for all of us!

What are my 2026 goals?

My goal for this year is just to keep growing! I’m so proud of how much I’ve achieved since starting my business, but there is still lots more to do! One extra thing I would love to do this year would be to give more local (or online) presentations, raising awareness of the things people should be thinking about for their future 💙
