The beds were cleared, the mint cut back, and the stubborn rooted dock leaves removed by hands with the Spear & Jackson Weeder a helpful tool in our experience. Weeds were taken out carefully first, then the bark was laid at a minimum depth of 7cm, with 10cm being better for a solid finish.

Rain-ready shed rescue
This was smelling mouldy and taking on water every time it rained. A drainage run, external gutter tray, and a waterproof mortar bed inside have now given it a proper fighting chance. The tray was set with a slight fall, and the drain was tied into the existing ground pipe so the water has been sent away the right way. Simple fix, tidy finish, and a lot less chance of damp coming back.

Different Services carried out for a good costumer: gutter clean and flush, roof biocide treatment, pressure washing, 7 trees pruned and shaped, lawns mowed front and rear, bulky waste removed, raised bed weeded and roses pruned, fence repairs, full fence repaint in black after biocide pre-treatment, and soffit downlights replaced.

Just finished a total turnaround on this one—we pulled out all the old, weathered wooden structures, hauled away the clutter from the garden and garage, and gave the whole place a proper deep clean, right down to the windows.

By bolting post shoes straight to the concrete, securing every flat top with strong 4.5mm screws rather than nails, kept the work clean and avoided tearing up the garden bed.

A big outdoor job completed here, replacing the old rotten wooden platform with a new concrete build. The work included a landing, stairs, a ramp, and a wall, all formed and finished to give a much better result than what was there before.

In total, around 3m³ of concrete went into the project, with iron reinforcement and LED lighting included for strength and a neat finish. The final coat was Johnstone’s Polyurethane Flortred, which gives it a tough, hard-wearing surface that suits the job well.
