Good people are never easy to lose.

As August comes to a close, Alex Shier and Katie Ginn have both stepped away from their main roles at CPC.

Alex has been part of CPC for nearly seven years. Starting as Regional Manager for the South West, he progressed to Regional Director, ultimately overseeing our West Region across a significant part of the country.

Throughout that journey, Alex proved himself to be a great leader and a real asset to the business.

One of his greatest strengths was building relationships. Alex was at his best sitting down with property managers, understanding the problems they were facing and clearly explaining how CPC could help—then ensuring we followed through.

His leadership helped deliver significant growth and success across the West, and he leaves behind strong teams, client relationships and foundations for the future.

While saying goodbye to Alex is difficult, he moves into a role that is right for him and his family. He leaves with our full support and our sincere thanks for everything he has contributed.

Katie was already very familiar to many of us from our Chamonix Estates days before joining CPC last year to support our finance and accounts team.

Her extensive property management experience meant she understood our clients, their pressures and our business from day one. Katie made great strides in a relatively short time, strengthening client relationships and bringing real value to the role.

Katie has now chosen to move into teaching—a career that works better around her young family—and we have every confidence she will make the same positive impression there.

She will still be providing CPC with a small amount of support each month, so some clients may occasionally see an email or two from her. We are grateful that a little of her knowledge and experience will remain with us during the transition.

Change also creates opportunity.

Mike Torjesen now steps up as Regional Manager for the West, covering Wales, the South West and the Midlands up to Birmingham. During his first nine months with CPC, Mike has already demonstrated broad knowledge, strong leadership and a real understanding of our customers.

We are excited to see Mike make the region his own and build on the strong foundations already in place.

Ultimately, good people are people you always want to keep. However, sometimes the right thing is to recognise that a new opportunity—or a different set of circumstances—is right for them and their families.

At that point, you thank them, support them and genuinely wish them every success.

Alex and Katie, thank you from everyone at CPC. You will both be greatly missed, and we look forward to seeing everything you achieve in your next chapters. 💙

Good property maintenance isn't just about completing the work. It's about being able to prove it.

When a resident asks what happened to that repair. When a resident director questions whether maintenance standards are being met. When you need to check whether a recurring issue has actually been resolved this time. You need a clear record, not a phone call to a contractor hoping they can remember.

Without structured reporting, you're left piecing together information from emails, verbal updates, and your own site visits. That's time you shouldn't have to spend, and it's not a reliable basis for the accountability that property management requires.

CPC documents every visit. This includes what was done, what was found, and what needs attention next. That record is there when you need it, without you having to ask for it.

If that's not what you're currently getting, we'd be glad to talk about what it should look like.

🎉 Celebrating 10 years of CPC service between two fantastic members of the team, from last week.

A big congratulations to Keith William and Sarah Grove, who have both recently reached their 5-year service milestone with Community Property Care.

Keith has been a key part of our East region team, including his work at Kingswood Heath, while Sarah continues to make a real contribution across Charlton Hayes and our Bristol-area sites.

Five years of service represents a huge amount of hard work, reliability and commitment to the communities we look after. Both Keith and Sarah take real pride in what they do, and that consistency is exactly what helps us maintain the standards our customers expect from CPC.

Thank you both for everything you have contributed over the last five years — and congratulations on a very well-deserved milestone. 👏

You shouldn't have to find out about site issues from a resident complaint.

A loose paving slab, an overflowing bin area, a damaged communal door, none of these are major problems when they're caught early. They become major problems when the first you hear about them is an email from a resident who's been looking at them for two or three weeks.

When you're managing multiple developments, you can't be on every site every week. But your contractors can be. And they should be telling you what they're finding, not waiting to be asked.

That's how CPC works: we are your eyes and ears on the ground, working in partnership with you. Every visit is documented, issues are flagged proactively, and you have a clear picture of each site without having to chase anyone for it.

If that's not what you're getting from your current contractors, it might be worth a conversation: https://www.cpropertycare.com/contact/

Fire compliance paperwork often looks complete until someone asks a specific question.

Which fire doors on this site were inspected last quarter? What was found? What's still outstanding, and who's responsible for it?

For property managers overseeing multiple sites, the issue isn't whether checks are being done. It's whether the record of those checks is clear enough to give you a confident answer to a resident, a board member, or an auditor without having to chase anyone first.

That's the difference between compliance and visibility. Both matter. But visibility is what makes compliance manageable.

If you're not sure your current process gives you that level of clarity, we'd be glad to talk it through. Call 0330 202 1160 or email [email protected]

10 years of Igor 👏🎉

Our Operations Director, Adam Wanklyn travelled down to Epsom recently to spend some time with Lisa and the team at Noble Park, and most importantly to finally celebrate Igor Morozovs reaching 10 years with CPC.

Adam presented Igor with his certificate outside the famous Water Tower – a fantastic building at the heart of what is a genuinely superb development – before heading off together for lunch and a chance to reflect on a few of those years.

There’s actually something pretty remarkable about this team!

Igor, Jack and Rhys have each been with CPC for more than 10 years 👏

That level of experience, consistency and commitment in one team is special, and when you walk around Noble Park, it shows. The standards across the development are superb. Kyle has also settled into the team really well this year and has been a great addition.

But this one is about Igor.

Lisa Neave summed him up perfectly:
“Igor is an incredibly lovely and caring person. He is always willing to help, whether that’s supporting the team or helping customers and residents. Ten years is a fantastic achievement and I’m incredibly proud of him and the whole team.”

People like Igor are a huge part of what CPC is about. Ten years of turning up, caring about the place you work, building relationships with residents and customers, and taking pride in doing things properly.

Congratulations Igor – and thank you for everything you’ve given CPC over the last decade. Here’s to the next chapter. 🍾

Feedback Friday — and we’ve got even more brilliant feedback to share this week! 🙌

Three locations. Three different examples. One consistent message: our people make a real difference.

At Boulters Meadow in Maidenhead, John, Trevor and Brian were praised by a resident for the care, commitment and heart they put into looking after the estate — whatever the weather.

At Reflections in Plymouth, recent works were described as being completed to a “superb standard”, making a noticeable difference to the appearance of the area.

And at Springhead Park, Dean was recognised for stepping in to resolve a difficult resident matter in person, responding promptly and professionally when it mattered.

Feedback like this means a great deal. It shows that good property services are about more than completing a task. They are about reliability, communication, pride and the difference our people make to the communities we care for.

A huge well done to John, Trevor, Brian, Dean and our CPC Plymouth team of Rick and Alex. Thank you for representing CPC so well.

This is what making Property Managers’ lives easier looks like on the ground.

Well… after plenty of edits, opinions, coffee and the occasional “just one more change” — our new Community Property Care website is officially live! 🚀

And, in truth, this one really feels like us.

It gives a much clearer picture of who CPC is today, the people behind the business and the breadth of services we now provide across England and Wales.

From caretaking, cleaning and grounds maintenance through to repairs, fire safety and compliance, it reflects how we support Property Managers by bringing everything together through one trusted service partner.

Most importantly, it shows what sits behind every service: experienced people, practical support and a genuine commitment to making Property Managers’ lives easier.

As with any new website, I’m sure we’ll still find a button that needs moving two millimetres to the left… but we’re incredibly proud to finally have it out there!

Please take a look, have a click around and let us know what you think 👇

Celebrating 10 years of outstanding service 👏
This week our Operations Director travelled up to the outskirts of Manchester to catch up with Jason and celebrate an incredible milestone — 10 years with Community Property Care.

Andy, who works alongside Jason in the North West, joined them both for some food, a drink and a proper catch-up. It was great for them to reflect on the last decade, the changes we’ve seen, how CPC has developed and the direction the business continues to move in.

One thing that has remained constant throughout is Jason’s consistency. For 10 years, he has represented CPC across the North West with reliability, commitment and real pride in the service he delivers. That level of long-term dedication makes a genuine difference to our customers, their developments and the wider business.

As a massive Manchester United supporter, it felt only right to recognise the occasion with a hospitality experience for two at Old Trafford, watching United take on Ipswich Town in the opening game of the Premier League season.

A thoroughly deserved thank-you for a fantastic 10 years.
Congratulations, Jason — We hope you enjoy the match and the experience! ⚽️🔴

👏 Congratulations to Lloyd Kyzer!

We’re pleased to recognise Lloyd, our Senior Caretaker on the CPC Chelmsford round, who has successfully passed his probation ahead of schedule and received a £50 Amazon voucher in recognition of his progress.

Since joining Community Property Care, Lloyd has stepped up brilliantly, taking ownership of his responsibilities, supporting the wider team and showing real promise in his senior role.

Chris Sheavill, Regional Manager for the East, said:
“Lloyd has made an excellent impression since joining CPC. He has shown a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to take responsibility. Passing his probation early is thoroughly deserved, and I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to develop within the business.”

Well done, Lloyd — a great start to your CPC journey and a brilliant example of the commitment and professionalism we want to see across our teams.
