3 of the UK Loft Insulation Removal Experts team were in sunny Fenham, Newcastle Upon Tyne today carrying out the removal of old degraded, heavily soiled fibreglass insulation from a loft following a new roof having been fitted recently.
The team removed the top 200mm layer of dusty and dirty fibreglass insulation first which revealed several layers of older degraded insulation underneath that which when removed then revealed lots of loose rubble and blown in loose fill insulation underneath all of that.
The ceilings were a mixture of wood, lath and mortar and plasterboard and were extremely dusty and dirty which needed thoroughly cleaned in order to be fit for refitting new insulation.
The team set about removing all the layers of old insulation first before systematically going around the loft to sift out the rubble before carrying out a thorough loft vacuum clean of the entire floor space to remove any dust and other loose fibres and debris, leaving the loft not only dust and dirt free, but safe and free of what amounted to over 10 heavy garden sacks of old rubble which easily amounted to a couple of hundred kilos of dead weight now all gone from the ceilings.
The loft is now ready for new insulation and that concludes what has been a heavy full on back breaking, dusty, dirty, sweaty and hard full 7 days working up and down the country for the guys clearing and cleaning out lofts for our amazing customers.
And on that note, a big thank you today to our customers for the teas and coffees, cold drinks and ice lollies and for allowing us to carry out the works on a Sunday ❤️ 👏
