Every year, like clockwork, the blossom trees come into bloom—and suddenly the pathways are filled with families capturing those fleeting, beautiful moments together 📸🌸 (and me in the background dodging the camera shots as I take my daily walk)

The point being it is a snapshot of what matters most: family, connection, and the memories we’re building along the way.

Great to see Martin Lewis talking on TV tonight about something so many of us put off — wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).

A few key reminders:

• A will ensures your money, property and possessions go to the people you choose.
• Without one, intestacy rules decide — and that may not reflect your wishes.
• An LPA lets someone you trust make decisions for you if you lose capacity — covering finances and/or health decisions.
• Setting things up early is far easier (and cheaper) than dealing with the consequences later.

We insure our homes, our cars and our phones — yet many people still don’t protect the things that matter most.

If you’ve been meaning to “get round to it”, take this as your sign. Future you — and your family — will thank you.

As teaching staff, you’re entitled to a FREE basic will with The Will Guys! Your spouse or partner can also receive 50% off their will.

Unfortunate outcomes I often come up against…most people avoid writing a Will because it feels uncomfortable.

It’s not about paperwork. It’s about emotion.

➡ Facing our own mortality.
➡ Deciding who gets what.
➡ Sometimes confronting tricky family dynamics.

But writing a Will isn’t about death. It’s about love and protection.

A Will says:
“I care for my loved ones to make things easier for them.”
“I don’t want anyone left with arguments, uncertainty, or stress.”
“I want my wishes to be both clear and honoured by the people I have chosen.”

When you look at it like that, writing a Will isn’t morbid.
It’s one of the most thoughtful, kind acts you’ll ever do.
