Employment Law Solutions was founded by an ex-police officer, well versed in the art of collating witness statements and evidence as well as the practicalities of life. Having also been an employer, Alf was Called to the Bar in 2006 and became an expert in employment law. Early in his career Alf became disillusioned with the impersonal, telephone advice-line approach offered by many of the larger

service providers and so founded ELS to offer a personal and user friendly service. Alf’s business partner, his son Kevin, completed his law degree at Lancaster University and then his Legal Practice Course at BPP Manchester before focussing his practice on employment law; he is now an expert in his own right. ELS focuses on providing pragmatic, legally sound business advice and wants only to help you achieve your goals without risk of penalty and without you having to explain your actions in an Employment Tribunal. The lawyers that you will meet at ELS are experienced in the full range of employment law issues and have both brought and defended claims against national and multinational employers.

Here’s to another year of brilliant collaboration. 💚

For the past four years, I’ve been trusted to design the Employment Law Solutions Christmas card.

Some people don’t see the point in Christmas cards, but in a business that deals with serious stuff day in, day out, they absolutely matter. They bring warmth and personality (which these guys have plenty of) into the world of employment law, HR advice, and health & safety guidance.

ELS is honest, approachable, and practical, and the card has always reflected that. When people tell me every year it’s their favourite card they receive, that’s a genuinely proud moment — for both of us.
