Here we have a renovation project on a 200 year old house. The wooden lath/sand&lime ceiling collapsed bringing the cornice with it. The owners of the property wanted it close as possible to original but with the convenience of modern materials. Here i removed everything back to the joists,sheeted the ceiling with gypsum plasterboard,re plastered with gypsum multi Finnish ,and completed the look with a fibrous plaster cornice, ceiling rose, and panel moulding.
