Susan also has considerable experience in conveyancing both residential and commercial and in advising clients on wills, lasting powers of attorney, and general litigation matters.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of Brian Brazier Jones, one of the co-founding partners of Capper & Jones Solicitors. Brian was a respected solicitor, valued colleague, and trusted friend to many within our local legal community. Brian initially joined Peter Bird & Co and later became a partner within the firm, thereafter rebranding to Peter Bird & Jones. In 1987, Brian and Robert Capper rebranded the firm again, becoming the firm we know today as Capper & Jones Solicitors.

Throughout a distinguished career, Brian served clients with dedication, integrity, and compassion. As a solicitor, he combined professional excellence with a genuine commitment to helping others, earning the respect of clients, colleagues, and members of the judiciary alike.

Those who worked alongside Brian will remember not only his legal expertise but also his generosity of spirit. He was always willing to offer guidance, share knowledge, and provide encouragement to his colleagues and counterparts. His wisdom, good judgement, and calm approach were qualities that inspired confidence and admiration.

Our local legal community has lost not only an accomplished solicitor but also a person of genuine character and humanity.

Our thoughts are with Brian’s family and all who knew him during this difficult time. While he will be greatly missed, his contribution to the profession and the lives of those around him will not be forgotten.

Brian’s funeral will take place on 19th June 2026 at 12pm at Flintshire Memorial Park & Crematorium, Northop with a gathering and refreshments at The Celtic Arms, Northop after the service.

As a mark of respect, our offices will be closed on the day of the funeral.
