Are you and EU National in the U.K. with permanent residence? Have you applied to the EU Settlement Scheme? We have come across a number of people who are not aware that they have to apply and mistakenly believe that their permanent residence is sufficient to allow them to remain in the U.K. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, and even if you have permanent residence you were required to apply to the EUSS for settlement by 30 June 2021. Your permanent residence is no longer valid after that date. You can still apply if you can show reasonable grounds for not applying by the deadline and lack of knowledge of the scheme may be sufficient to justify a late application. If this applies to you then you need to act as soon as possible. If you need help and advice about the scheme and how to apply then contact us today!
