How We Conduct an EPC Assessment 🌱
At Cranberry Energy Solutions, we take pride in providing accurate and detailed Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to help homeowners and businesses understand their property’s energy efficiency:
1️⃣ Step 1: Schedule the Appointment
First, we’ll schedule a convenient time for the assessment. We’ll need access to the entire property, so we ensure you’re fully prepared for our visit!
2️⃣ Step 2: Property Walk-Through
When we arrive, we do a quick walk-through of your home to get a feel for its size, layout, and energy features. We’ll be looking at everything from insulation to heating systems, windows, and more.
3️⃣ Step 3: Gathering Key Data
We take measurements and gather key information, like the type and condition of insulation, the windows, your heating system, and energy-efficient appliances. We also note any renewable energy systems, like solar panels, that can boost your EPC rating.
4️⃣ Step 4: Assess Energy Efficiency
Using the data we’ve collected, we assess your property’s energy efficiency and environmental impact. This gives us a score from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient), as well as an environmental impact rating based on CO2 emissions.
5️⃣ Step 5: Recommend Improvements
If your property could benefit from energy-saving upgrades, we’ll recommend practical improvements like better insulation, more energy-efficient heating systems, or installing double glazing. These small changes can make a big difference to your EPC rating and your energy bills!
6️⃣ Step 6: Issue the EPC
Once everything’s assessed, we’ll provide you with your official EPC, which you can use when selling or renting your property. We’ll also send you a copy of the recommendations to improve your rating, if needed.
