Complex Entry Clearance Matter Approved: Skilled Worker Child Dependant Visa Granted
We are pleased to share another successful outcome at First Law Solicitors, where we assisted a client with a complex entry clearance application for a child dependant of a Skilled Worker.
This was not a straightforward matter. The child was born after the mother had already received her Certificate of Sponsorship, which created additional issues around the timing of the application, the family circumstances, and the evidence required to satisfy UKVI.
A further complication was the issue of the child’s conception dates, particularly because the father lives in the UK permanently. This required careful explanation, clear evidence, and properly prepared legal representations to avoid any misunderstanding or adverse inference by the decision maker.
There was also a timing concern because the mother’s employment start date was stated as 01 May 2026. The application therefore required careful preparation to explain the family position, the child’s dependency, and why entry clearance should be granted in line with the Skilled Worker dependant route.
At First Law Solicitors, we reviewed the client’s circumstances in detail, identified the potential concerns before submission, prepared the application with supporting evidence, and provided clear representations addressing the complex issues directly. Our approach ensured that the decision maker had the full factual and legal context before making a decision.
We are delighted that the child’s entry clearance application was approved.
