All BRP cards for UK visas are being abolished in Dec 2024. Govt has rolled out e-visa scheme now. From April 17, you will be getting emails from the UKVI, inviting you to create UKVI accounts. Home Office is replacing physical documents and everything will be digitised by 2025.

There are major changes coming in UK visa system in 2024, from higher salary thresholds for skilled workers, sharp increase in the NHS health surcharges, restrictions on bringing dependants with you, to higher income to bring your partner and families to join you!

Immigration Health Surcharge will see a significant increase, impacting most visa categories. The surcharge is set to rise from £624 to £1,035 per year, starting from 6 February 2024, but will exclude certain visa categories, notably Health and Care visas.

Now that would be a relief for many British/settled people in the UK, home office has decided to lower the family visa minimum income threshold to £29000 per annum from spring 2024. It was due to increase to £38700 pa. At present the income requirement is only £18600, if you wish to bring your family member/loved ones to the UK to join you permanently (depending on the number of dependants applying)
