Daniel W**d will be joined by Trainee Solicitors Damian Gwiazdowski and Lucy Fraser, with Damian and Lucy taking on their very first 10K, while Dan dusts off his old marathon shoes for a return to the pavements!

We are proud to be raising funds for Manchester Youth Zone, a fantastic charity dedicated to supporting, mentoring and empowering young people across Manchester by providing opportunities, guidance and a safe place to thrive.

Another success story where early intervention led to a quick decision for a regulated professional facing a misconduct investigation.

Consultant Chris Corkindale was instrumental in getting a misconduct investigation concluded after the interview process leading to a most relied client now having to endure the anxiety of a protracted investigation and potential proceedings thereafter.

Deborah started her working life as a Legal Cashier in a commercial law firm in the heart of Manchester, which is where her love of finance began!

Having taken a gap year where she travelled to places such as Australia, South Africa and India she then came back to England to study Accountancy but always chose to stay in house within the legal profession.

Deborah has been Practice Managing Law Firms for over 26 years guiding them from Sole Practitioners to Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships and helped one firm to become one of the first ABS practices nationwide. She also helps obtain accreditations in Investors in People and Lexcel.

She joined Burton Copeland in April 2015 as the new Practice Manager, becoming the Practice Director when the firms’ legal entity became an Alternative Business Structure in 2023.

She was honoured to be the very first ‘Business Support Champion’ awarded by Manchester Law Society in 2021, an award which honours individuals of the legal profession whose contribution has gone above and beyond to help keep their practice running during the unprecedented times of the pandemic.

Jack Ashworth has been given a sabbatical by Burton Copeland to travel Europe then Asia for 12 months with his girlfriend in their own version of race across the world.

Jack has been a bastion of police station advice and Crown Court preparation for Burton Copeland, working long days and late nights. Before he embarks on a career in the law and his vocation very much dedicated to Criminal Law and Burton Copeland, he wished to spread his wings and see what was beyond Manchester Police cells and Court rooms.

Jack is providing a blog of his sun-drenched adventures to cheer us all up in rain drenched Manchester!
