With International Women's Day just around the corner this Friday, we're excited to celebrate all the amazing women breaking barriers and achieving greatness! 💥

We recently caught up with our friend Rukhsar Jahangir, who used to work with us. This girl is seriously impressive - she finished law school, is studying to be a barrister, and even founded The Legal Lynk to support women in law. Way to go, Rukhsar! 👏

Rukhsar highlighted how crucial days like are for inspiring women and girls by showcasing their incredible potential. Sharing empowering success stories helps motivate women everywhere to fearlessly chase big dreams.

But true equality isn't just surface-level - it's about recognising and breaking down the unique obstacles individuals face. If we want more women leaders, workplaces need to step up with flexibility, support, and understanding women's distinct challenges.

We're so inspired by Rukhsar creating The Legal Lynk community for women in law, especially from minority backgrounds. Having that sisterhood when self-doubt creeps in? That's empowerment. 💞

For many of us, our biggest inspirations are the persevering women closest to us. Rukhsar admires her mum, who instilled resilience and paved the way while being a ‘supermum’ to her and her four brothers.

As the next generation of women steps up to be leaders, staying authentic and true to yourself will be tough. But Rukhsar's advice rocks: "Prioritise doing what you truly enjoy, because that's where you'll find the most fulfilment and thrive."

So, let's honour trailblazers like Rukhsar on Friday - forging paths, uplifting each other, and tirelessly breaking down barriers so every woman can reach her full potential. ❤️

🏫 Last week, our director Rukhsar Jahangir had the wonderful opportunity to visit a local primary school.

🚀 It was a heartwarming experience as she spoke about her journey and shared her inspiring story with the Year 5 and Year 6 students, who are now on the cusp of choosing their paths to secondary school

😃 Rukhsar was initially a little nervous, but as soon as she began talking about her career, the children's eyes lit up with curiosity and enthusiasm.

🙋They asked insightful questions about the world of work and the exciting opportunities that await them in the future.

💪 One of the most touching moments was when Rukhsar Jahangir talked about overcoming challenges while growing up in the same neighborhood as these children. It was evident that they could relate to her experiences, and they felt empowered to pursue their dreams, no matter where they come from.

💜 We are incredibly proud of Rukhsar for sharing her journey and inspiring the next generation of bright minds. At The Legal Lynk we believe in making a positive impact in our community and fostering a passion for learning among young students. 💜 We are honored to introduce Iffat Ali as our Mental Health and Wellbeing Ambassador. With an impressive background and a wealth of experience in the field of mental health. Iffat is a dedicated and registered Mental Health nurse (RMHN) with 23 years of experience within the National Health Service.

🌟 As the Mental Health Ambassador, Iffat's mission is to collaborate with us to implement wellness mindfulness and initiatives within our company. Fostering a culture that emphasizes self-care, stress management, and open dialogue about mental health challenges and will focus within the legal field.

🤝 As part of our commitment to promoting mental well-being, Iffat will play the vital role in assisting us to comprehend the unique challenges that women and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds encounter concerning mental health.

🎓 Congratulations to the co-founder and co-director of The Legal Lynk Rukhsar Jahangir for graduating and her mum!

😍 How inspiring!!

Congratulations to mum and daughter duo, Shabnam and Rukhsar, who have graduated together this week.

Mum Shabnam graduated with honours yesterday from BA Education (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and Inclusion), while Rukhsar graduated with honours from a degree in Law earlier today.

Rukhsar joined us at the University first and encouraged Shabnam to follow her own dreams – even supporting her with the application. The inspirational mum-of-five worked full-time in a school while completing her degree and was determined to fit her studies around family life. She said: “When I’d take the kids to their karate lesson, or football practice, I still wanted to be there and see them, so I’d stay and work on my dissertation, assignments or revision from the car.” Shabnam also praised tutor Dr Nicole Whitelaw for the support and encouragement given during her study. She also said that taking her classes on a Saturday allowed her to fit the studies into her schedule.

Earlier this year, Rukhsar travelled down to London to the Supreme Court where she represented the University in a mooting/mock trial competition and won. The new law graduate is also a recipient of the prestigious Rose Scholarship to fund her studies and has aspirations to become a barrister.

Outside of her course, Rukhsar makes a big contribution to her local community and field, recently holding a networking lunch for women in the legal field and co-founded The Legal Lynk. The Legal Lynk (CIC) describes itself as “a dynamic social enterprise committed to empowering women and promoting legal networking within our community.”

Thank you to both Rukhsar and Shabnam for allowing us to be part of your day, we wish you the best with whatever your next steps may be.

💚 Halal Expo Manchester 2023!

🤩 We had an amazing day at the Halal Expo Manchester and our director, Rukhsar, was honored to be invited! It was a truly insightful experience with a fantastic lineup of speakers at the Knowledge Hub.

💜 We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Zara Mohammed , the Secretary General Muslim Council of Britian for her interest and immediate support. Your dedication is truly inspiring!

🔗The presence of a supportive and encouraging community made the event even more special. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share our passion for all things business , women , inclusion and diversity.

🗣️Finally, we want to give a shout-out to Osama, who skillfully chaired the panel discussion at the end of the day. All the speakers, Saj Zafar , Farah Hussain , Jennifer Ogunyemi and Erim Kaur inspiring women, delved into insightful conversations about culture, religion, and women in business. Osama, you truly brought the session to a remarkable close!
