As one of the judges for this year's Lancashire business awards - BIBAS, Mary spent a great day with her fellow judges drawing up the shortlist for .
They narrowed down the top eight to just five, each of whom will receive a visit from the panel in June ahead of another final judging session later in the summer.
Winners will be announced on September 20th at the event in Blackpool Tower's famous ballroom.
Mary said: "It was a fantastic day, very enjoyable for all of the judges. There are so many fabulous businesses here in Lancashire and it was really eye-opening and inspiring to see the great work they are doing.
"The BIBAs is an extremely well supported event with a tremendous amount of applicants showcasing their companies. I am really flattered to have been invited to be a judge and am very much looking forward to visiting each of the shortlisted companies this summer."
