Justice prevailed today in a criminal matter.

Abbott Solicitors LLP is pleased to confirm a successful outcome for our client, who had spent over three months in custody for an offence she did not commit, whilst also suffering from significant mental health difficulties.

Following the dedicated efforts of the Criminal legal team at Abbott Solicitors LLP, the prosecution today offered no evidence and formally discontinued the case against her.

No individual should have to endure imprisonment for a crime they did not commit. We are pleased that justice has ultimately been served and that our client can now begin to move forward with her life.

Team Crime Bravo…!!

Wow…. Another Successful outcome received today in a complex inter-faith Article 8 appeal heard at Birmingham IAC.

The case involved a Pakistani Muslim husband and Indian Hindu wife facing significant family opposition, threats, and substantial legal/practical barriers preventing them from lawfully residing together in either Pakistan or India.

Although the protection grounds were dismissed, the Tribunal allowed the appeals under Article 8 ECHR, accepting that removal would effectively destroy the couple’s family life due to the absence of any realistic route for them to live together outside the UK.

A strong result following detailed evidence, expert country evidence, and careful submissions on proportionality and the practical realities of cross-national/inter-faith family life.

Bravo team immigration.

Abbott Solicitors LLP is pleased to share another outcome. Successful Challenge to Home Office Civil Penalty
County Court – May 2026

Abbott Solicitors successfully represented a client in a County Court appeal challenging a Civil Penalty imposed by the Secretary of State for the Home Department under the Immigration Act 2014.

Following a contested appeal hearing, the Court found that the original penalty was excessive and disproportionate in the circumstances. The Court therefore allowed the appeal and substantially reduced the level of the civil penalty.

In addition, the Court made a costs order in favour of our client, awarding a contribution towards the legal costs incurred in pursuing the appeal.

This outcome reflects the importance of obtaining specialist legal advice when facing regulatory enforcement action. Home Office civil penalties can often be challenged where they are not properly justified, and careful preparation can lead to a fairer and more proportionate outcome.

Abbott Solicitors has extensive experience advising individuals and businesses on Home Office civil penalties, compliance matters, and appeal proceedings. We take a practical, strategic approach to protecting our clients’ interests and achieving effective results.

If you have received a civil penalty notice or require advice on a potential appeal, our team is available to assist.

Abbott Solicitors LLP is proud to have successfully acted in a landmark High Court case, now reported by the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting. This was an appeal against a Civil Penalty Notice issued by the Home Office against an Employer. The Appeal was time-barred, and the Circuit Judge had refused to extend the time to file a late appeal. This decision was further APPEALED in the High Court, and the previous decision was overturned. This decision highlights Abbott Solicitors' strength in delivering clear, strategic legal advice and achieving results in complex and high-stakes matters.

Abbott Solicitors is delighted to announce another successful outcome in a complex British nationality matter (British Nationality for an applicant who illegally entered the UK).

Despite significant challenges, including the applicant's initial unlawful entry to the United Kingdom, this case required a detailed assessment of the client's immigration history, personal circumstances, and the applicable nationality law. Our team conducted a thorough review of the matter, carefully collated extensive supporting evidence, and presented detailed legal representations demonstrating that the client's previous immigration issues did not prevent him from satisfying the statutory requirements for naturalisation.

Following our submissions, we are pleased to confirm that the application has been granted, securing British citizenship for our client and bringing his lengthy immigration journey to a successful conclusion.

This case highlights the importance of expert legal advice in nationality applications, particularly where there are complexities arising from historic immigration breaches. It also reflects Abbott Solicitors' unwavering commitment to achieving positive outcomes, even in the most challenging and intricate cases.

Another fantastic outcome for our client today at the North West London Magistrates’ Court.

We successfully defended a Section 172 Road Traffic Act matter, with the prosecution ultimately offering no evidence and the case being dismissed.

Our client had not responded to the notices, not through any fault of her own but because they were intercepted before they ever came to her attention. Once the full circumstances were properly presented, it became clear that the case could not be pursued.

This outcome highlights the importance of looking beyond the surface of an allegation and ensuring that every client’s position is fully and fairly put before the court.

Another strong result for Abbott Solicitors. If you are facing a motoring offence or any criminal allegation, get in touch, expert advice can make all the difference.

Bravo team crime…👍👍

Abbott Solicitors LLP is pleased to announce a significant and successful outcome in a recent Civil Penalty Notice investigation.

Our Client was accused of employing, or facilitating the employment of, an alleged illegal worker — an allegation that carries severe financial penalties, reputational damage, and potential long-term regulatory consequences.

Upon receipt of the very first information request from the Home Office, our team acted immediately.

Rather than adopting a reactive approach, we:

Conducted a thorough internal assessment

Analysed the statutory excuse framework

Examined right-to-work compliance procedures

Prepared detailed and robust legal representations

Addressed every allegation head-on at the earliest stage

Our submissions were comprehensive, evidence-based and strategically structured to dismantle the allegations before they could escalate.

✅ The Result

The Home Office has now formally confirmed:

No civil penalty will be issued

No enforcement action will be taken

Our Client is fully cleared of the allegation

This outcome avoided a potential penalty of up to £45,000 per worker, preserved our Client’s commercial reputation, and safeguarded their operational continuity. BRAVO TEAM. 👍👍
