We receive many requests for residence applications lately. As you might know you can only apply as a family member such as partner, child, or grandparent.
The most frequent request is that based on a durable relationship. Home Office accepts documents that can prove the relationship existed at least 2 years prior to 31st December 2020 and that that the relationship continues to exist on the date you apply, or existed for the period of residence relied upon.
Home Office will accept the followings:
- Joint Bank statements or utility bills
- Official correspondence that links both partners at the same address
- Business contracts or tax returns with the same address
- Child’s Birth Certificates born in the relationship before 31st December 2020
Sometimes it may be difficult to obtain those mentioned above or they might not exist at all. So, the only available option is to apply for a “Spouse Visa” that allows the applicant to reside in the UK for a period of 2 years and 9 months.
Requirements:
- Both partners to be over 18
- The partner should be settled in the UK or hold the pre-settled status.
- Both partners must permanently live in the UK after the application
What do I need to prove?
- That you are in a marriage recognised by the UK Government
- That you lived together 2 years prior to the application.
- That you have a good knowledge of English
- That you can support yourself and any dependents from a financial point of view in the UK
How do I prove the relationship?
- Marriage certificate
- Official correspondence from government, landlord, utility supplier, bank or GP that links both partners at the same address

£1,048 – Home Office Fee
£1,560 – Health Surcharge

Ne intalnim cu tot mai multe cereri pentru rezidenta in ultimul timp.
D**a cm stiti se mai poate aplica doar pe baza de relatie de familie cm ar fi partener, copil, bunic.
Cea mai intalnita cerere este cea de pre-settle pe baza unei relatii de cuplu. Home Office accepta dovezi ce pot demonstra faptul ca relatia a existat de cel putin doi ani pana la data de 31 Decembrie 2020 si continua sa existe si in prezent.
Dovezile acceptate de Home Office sunt urmatoarele:
- Desfasurator bancar sau facturi de utilitate pe numele ambilor parteneri
- Corespondenta oficiala ce leaga ambii partneri de aceeasi adresa
- Contracte business si inchideri de an financiar la aceeasi adresa
- Certificate de nastere ale copiilor rezultati din concubinaj inainte de Decembrie 2020
Uneori, poate fi dificil sa procurati documentele de mai sus, sau poate nu exista deloc, iar singura varianta valabila in acest caz este “Spouse VISA” care va ofera rezidenta pe o perioada de 2 ani si 9 luni.
Cerinte pentru aplicatie:
- Ambii parteneri sa fie majori
- Partnerul pe baza caruia se aplica de visa trebuie sa detina statutul de rezidenta: settled sau pre-settled
- Ambii partneri sa locuiasca permanent in UK d**a data aplicatiei

- Scrisori oficiale de la guvern, proprietar, furnizor de energie, banca sau de la un cadru medical ce leaga ambii parteneri de aceeasi adresa
