From 1st September 2026, around 37,000 FCA-regulated companies will be expected to report any serious cases of non-financial misconduct to the regulator. The firms will also be required to pass on reports of bad behaviour, including racism, sexual harassment, violence and intimidation, to a manager’s prospective future employer. Banks have been subject to these requirements for some time. From the beginning of next month, many hedge funds, insurance companies, investment bankers, and brokers will also have to comply. Community support and charity initiatives have always been integral to our business. We recently raised £3,800 for Will Aid, which supports a range of partner charities, including Age UK, the British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Crisis, NSPCC, Shelter, and others. Since first taking part in 2017, our team has raised more than £6,000 for Will Aid. Our solicitors volunteer their time and expertise, helping people draft their Wills, in exchange for a donation to the charity.

Our Immigration Law Solicitors recently achieved a successful result for a client whose Skilled Worker Sponsor Licence was initially suspended then revoked by the Home Office.

Following our client's instructions, we submitted detailed representations addressing each of the concerns raised in the suspension notification. Unfortunately, despite the evidence and explanations provided, the Home Office failed to properly consider our representations and proceeded to revoke the sponsor licence.

Wasting no time, our Immigration Law Solicitors sent a Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter challenging the lawfulness of the Home Office's decision. In response, the Home Office accepted that the revocation decision had been incorrectly reached and agreed to reconsider the case. They also agreed to reinstate our client's Sponsor Licence while the reconsideration is underway.

At a time when Sponsor Licence suspensions and revocations are dramatically increasing, this is a significant outcome and a huge relief for our client, whose business can now continue operating while the matter is being reconsidered. The company's sponsored workers, whose employment and immigration status would otherwise have been placed at considerable risk by the revocation, have also been reassured.
