A previous visa cancellation does not necessarily mean a future UK visa application will fail.

We recently assisted a postgraduate applicant applying for a Student visa where a previous Visitor visa had been cancelled following an omission concerning family members in the UK.

We identified the previous immigration history as the key suitability issue and prepared detailed legal representations explaining the circumstances, addressing the distinction between an innocent misunderstanding and deliberate deception, and setting out the applicant’s subsequent conduct.

The application was submitted using the priority service and was granted just 4 working days after the visa appointment.

This case highlights the importance of identifying potential suitability issues early and addressing them clearly and proactively.
