We have Penn Chambers and Penn Financial and our clients across those two sister companies have important original legal documents, such as Wills and Powers of Attorney, to keep safe and findable, as the only versions that hold legal authority. The same goes for important financial documents. Scanned copies, photocopies, or other digital formats are not legally binding because they lack the original signatures. The current nil rate band is £325,000 (The nil rate band (NRB), also known as the inheritance tax (IHT) threshold, is the amount up to which an estate has no IHT to pay) and this is set to remain the case until at least 2028.
